I asked my husband the other night what screen name I should use for him. His response? Damon Wildeve. Anyone else a bit surprised? I told him I would not call him that. He says it's a great name from "Return of the Native." I say it sounds like I'm married to a gay guy, which I am very positive I am not. Not that I have any issues with homosexuals. Love them. Support their marriage rights. But I don't want to be married to one any more than they want to married to a heterosexual.
I could also use Egbert, but I've never felt comfortable with that nickname either. I suppose I could call him Mr. Diosa, but I was looking for something a little more original, something that would be him. I've been resorting to just referring to him as my husband or B, pretty boring and unimaginative.
Any thoughts? Should I just start calling him Damon? It just doesn't seem right. Of course if he ever starts commenting, he might solve the problem for me . . .
I agree that it should be something thats about him. I've been trying to think up a good one for Mr. Liz as well. I think what I've settled on is Chris, mostly because, well, that's his name.
I gotta tell you, I'm not on the whole hidden identity train. Will someone explain it to me? Is it because of all of the crazy effers out there just waiting to stalk someone? Oh, maybe I should have thought of this before I started a personal blog. But now it's too late and it's way too personal. I'm exposed.
Anyway, for your husband, since I know nothing of him, the only thing I can think would be to give him a name in spanish that would be complimentary to Diosa. Like Dioso. (Thats a joke)

Hmmm, I was thinking something Spanish might be a good idea too, keeping with the theme. So a Spanish name that's somehow reflective of him? I like it.
I'll explain the hidden identity thing, but it's probably worth a whole post.

I like Blackstone. At your rehearsal dinner, when B's Southern aunts were videotaping us because they had just never seen all those French girls in one place, I was performing for the camera and said something about "Woonsocket girls... because all those Blackstone boys can't be wrong." It's one of my very favorite memories of us all together. We were so young and confident and happy to be together. It was a Ya-Ya moment.

Diosa - I didn't know Blackstone was an option. I change my vote to that. One of the coolest guys I know has the last name Blackstone, so it makes me think of him. I guess thats not relevent, but I'm voting Blackstone anyway.
